This has to be one of the best hidden gems in Indianapolis. The drinks are absolutely top tier. The vibes at night are truly like a nightclub. With that being said, I don't recommend children coming here on the weekend evenings. The service is hit or miss. We've had great service and we've had extremely slow service. I do worry that the location will hurt the business as it's pretty random. The food has been decent for the most part. This is a place to take your girlfriends for a birthday celebration!

I went here with an extremely large group during the day and we had a private area. The space was bright, dishes and tables were tidy and well prepared, the floor was extremely clean, the food was good and the service was spectacular, especially given what a large party we were. I highly recommend.

My margarita group of 13 was able to make a reservation for Saturday at 12PM with just a $50 deposit required in advance that was conveniently applied towards my bill today. I arrived about 20-minutes early and found that they had our entire table ready with table service and menus already set in place. What fantastic customer service! Daniel was our server today who completely nailed it! He was friendly, efficient, and on the ball throughout our meal. Even with people arriving at different times, he was able to get our drink and food orders with no problems. Daniel's menu recommendations were on target! Three of us had the Bésame cocktail that he suggested, and it was just as refreshing and fruity as he said it would be. This place is MASSIVE and just really beautiful inside. I think there were 3 to 4 total dining areas and 2 bars total. Great space for a reunion, shower, birthday party, or pre-gaming for an evening out. I hear that they have a DJ available in the sugar skull room on a certain night, and they move tables to convert part of the restaurant into a dance floor, too. I'll have to come back for that! Thanks again, Daniel, for the excellent service and lovely brunch experience!

I think people need to go see how cool this place is inside. Just went back last night and sat in the bar area or cantina side. Gustavo was our server and he was awesome! The ambiance is such a vibe. I had the shrimp tacos and they were so fresh! Also tried the la Rosa drink this time and loved it! I will say, I think the lights give off entirely too much heat on this side because we were all super warm and it was way cooler on here other side. Hopefully they can adjust the strength of those bulbs!

I saw pictures on Yelp of the trees in the bar/main dining room and it reminded me so much of a restaurant my friends and I went to in New Orleans so of course I had to stop in. Plus I've been to two other El Toro locations and the food is always great. This location is a little more upscale than at least the Southport Road location, but still has that cool vibe and signature firework drinks. This time, I had the chilaquiles verdes with chicken. It was delicious! And the portion size was huge. My brother had the Carne Azada skillet from the brunch menu. The portion was much smaller on that dish but still delicious and beautifully plated. You can't go wrong with either dish. We also split the choriqueso which was delicious. They brought two complimentary salsas as well. The smaller of the two was some sort of roasted salsa was my favorite. So good! There were so many other things on the menu that looked delicious so I'm sure we'll be back!

I was excited to visit El Toro Prime after seeing several interior photos of the restaurant. It visually did not disappoint. The decor has unique features from the beautiful greenery and unique lighting to the Dia de Muertos, Day of the Day, murals on the walls in several areas. The main bar area is warm, inviting with unique lighting and comfortable chairs. Watch for the fog coming from the base of the trees. Also, don't miss the back bar area. My husband noted it was an attractive decor but found his Chimichanga unmemorable, and he didn't come for the decor. He had requested they replace the cheese sauce with red sauce but left it off. By the time the server returned, he had already started eating after adding the table salsa, which he wasn't impressed with. Oh, and draft beer is not available here, only bottled beer. I, on the other hand, had the gorgeous bar decor plus Mexican French Toast and enjoyed it very much. The bread was lightly grilled with raspberry, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas between the slices of bread. Nutella was drizzled over the French Toast and served with Tres Leches syrup. The fruit was very fresh, and I loved the touch of Nutella with the fruit and bread. My only recommendation would be to add a side of bacon. Yes, many items are expensive on the menu. However, you can find several items under $20. We came at lunch, served daily 11:00 - 3:00, 7 days a week. Our server was great, but he did get busy right after we arrived. Our water remained full, our cocktails replaced when requested, and dirty dishes were removed promptly. I'll be returning to try several other items on the menu, but I'm not sure if my husband will return.

The ambience and decor of this place has an upscale feel. We went here for their Sunday brunch. The menu items for brunch were very innovative. Our server, David, was very helpful with the menu items. I ordered the chilaquiles with steak and eggs over easy. Chilaquiles is a traditional Mexican breakfast dish consisting of: fried corn tortilla pieces simmered with salsa or mole and typically topped with cheese and other accompaniments (such as refried beans, sliced onions, shredded cheese and eggs) I added steak to mine and it was seasoned well and tender. Overall, a great dining experience.
